NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR REVIEW OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) FUNDS RECEIVED AND EXPENDED BY THE CITY OF SONORA

A Public Hearing will be held by the City of Sonora at a meeting of the Sonora City Council at City Hall, 94 N. Washington Street, Sonora, on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at 5:00pm to discuss and solicit comments on the submittal of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) accomplishments and acceptance of the closeout report for the following grant activity:

 The City may be required to disencumber $435.94 of 22-CDBG-PI-00009 for the project.  The City can re-purpose $21,907.09 of General Administration (staff time) to a future award.

The purpose of this public hearing is to give citizens an opportunity to make their comments known regarding the accomplishments under State administered CDBG Program.

THIS MEETING IS PHYSICALLY OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AND THE PUBLIC WILL BE GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO PROVIDE PUBLIC COMMENT.  Upon request, the agenda and the documents in the meeting agenda packet can be made available to persons with a disability. In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, the City encourages those with disabilities to participate fully in the meeting process. Any person requiring special assistance to participate in the meeting should call the City Clerk, 209-532-4541 at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to the meeting.
