Community Service Volunteer for Sonora Police Department
Make a Positive Impact on the City of Sonora!
Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community? Do you have a heart for service and a few hours to spare each week? If you’re 21 years of age or older and a resident of Tuolumne County, we invite you to consider becoming a Community Service Volunteer (CSV) with the Sonora Police Department.
Community Service Volunteers play a vital role in supporting local law enforcement efforts and helping keep our neighborhoods safe and connected. Whether you’re assisting with traffic control during community events, helping with administrative tasks, or engaging with residents, your contribution makes a real difference.
Prospective members of the Community Service Volunteer (CSV) unit will receive 40 hours of instruction and hands-on training to prepare them for their roles. Training topics include:

The City of Sonora Fire Department is seeking dedicated and motivated individuals to join our Volunteer and Intern Firefighter Program. This is an excellent opportunity to serve the community, develop emergency response skills, and gain valuable experience in the fire service.
